Mr Tim Bishop MBBS FRCS (Orth) is a Consultant Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, St. George's Hospital NHS Trust, and Parkside Hospital, Wimbledon.
Education & Training
He qualified from St George's Hospital Medical School in 1994. Having completed his basic surgical training, he went on to carry out specialist training in orthopaedics in the South West Thames region.
Employment & leadership roles
Since his appointment as a Spinal and Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon at St George's Hospital in 2009, Mr Bishop has worked to expand and develop the spinal service there. St George's has now become one of London’s four major trauma centres, is the regional tertiary referral centre for metastatic spinal disease and a regional centre for scoliosis treatment. He is the Clinical Director for the surgical directorate at St George's and President of the St George's Hospital Medical School Rugby Football Club. His Clinical interests include: All aspects of spinal surgery: Adult and paediatric spinal deformity, Metastatic spinal disease and spinal trauma, Surgery for cervical, Thoracic, lumbar and sacral pathology.
